I think we can all agree many games should still be at the $50 price point. Some games that are worth $60 or even more are : GTA4, GoW, Resistance, Bioshock, SSBB ($50 too!), MGS4 most likely, Fable 2 most likely, Resistance 2 hopefully, Halo 3, CoD4, etc etc. Games like Sonic the hedgehog, Jenga: World Tour, Ninjabread sh!tty man aren't worth my 2 cents. I'd rather play some solid games of tetris. Haze might probably be worth as much as a rental, but nectar kinda made me interested in buying...

With games being so expensive, all games should be almost as long as gta4 or has a lot of replay value or great online. Or at least dumb the price down back to $50/

I bought a ps3 because of the reasons Shadow Flare gave. I would've also picked up a 360, but not until they have built-in wi-fi, free XBL, and fixes their hardware problems, basically, I'd be waiting until next-gen for an xbox. I love their games don't get me wrong. But playing at friends' houses is satisfactory enough for me rather then waste more money on something that will break easily, paying for wi-fi and XBL or be replaced by a newer console soon.
God of War quicktime events were great, even if it wasn't really cutscenes. I especially hate UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENCES. It's a stupid idea really. Cough Assassin's Creed.
MGS4 and GTA4 are great examples of the few games that are
WORTH and SHOULD be priced at 60 dollars. Good job Kojima and Konami. Day 1 even if my exams are a few days away for me.
Other mediocre games like Iron Man, Jumper: Griffin's story; basically most movie-based games, Conflict: Denied Ops etc etc, should NOT be placed a $60 gift tag.

It won't exactly kill in sales because they're both different and different consoles. But I would take MGS4 over NG2 any day of the week.

Do u think killzone 2 got pushed back so Sony can have a great line up ready for 09 too? Since Resistance 2 and Haze are on the way this year, Killzone 2 and God Of War 3 to follow it up and don't forget Final Fantasy 13 with Grand Turismo 5.
Funny. Look at how some Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2 reviews praised graphics and we see a lot of hate on MGS4. o_0. Honestly, they need to change the whole reviewing system. Famitsu reviews are pretty good because they use more than one person.
